  2. Fun and fascinating! I love this book. The illustrations are gorgeous. There are little quippy jokes mixed in with well-researched information about ecosystems, animal behavior, trophic systems, anthropogenic impacts, and more. As a person currently applying to Master’s programs in ecology, I highly recommend this book. It’s a fun way to remind yourself of the basis of ecosystem science, but more that that, it’s a fantastic way to introduce kids to ecology!

Broken down into sections, each section begins with a map of each of the continents showing their respective biomes.
